His career started from a humble background having worked as a cab driver and a gas station attendant. Today, the company is one of the global economic giants specializing in medicine, telecommunications, education, and selling of products online. The company involves itself in mergers and acquisitions with other companies globally.

Dr. Vijay Eswaran is a philanthropist and donates to various charities. Forbes of Asia recognized him, as the hero of philanthropy in 2011. He is a motivational speaker as well as author specializing in teaching people on the best ways to manage their careers and relationships.
